INSTITUTE OF AMERICAN INDIAN ARTS (IAIA) TELEVISION & FILM SUMMER WORKSHOP

Disney | ABC Television Group, in collaboration with IAIA, has developed a program for Native American writers, directors, and actors aspiring to work in the entertainment industry.  Since its inception in 1962, the Institute of American Indian Arts (IAIA) has had a major influence on the artistic, economic and social expression of Native Americans by offering programs to students who represent ninety percent of the tribal communities in the United States.

About the Program

Held on the IAIA campus in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the workshop is designed to assist novice and experienced Native American television writers and filmmakers.  The program also brings executives, producers, screenwriters, directors and actors, both Native and non-Native, from the mainstream television and film world to work with the selected students. The program begins in June and runs for up to six weeks.

How to Apply
Deadline for submissions is typically late March or early April.  Please visit www.iaia.edu/newmedia or call the Program Director (505) 424-5716 for further information and application details.
