After nearly a decade, the ABC Studios Production Associates Program has emerged as one of the most successful, on-the-job training programs in the television industry. The program lets candidates experience many different areas of the multifaceted, corporate side of production, including: Production Management; Production Finance; Post-Production Management; Studio Crafts Management; and Production Business & Legal Affairs. Post-program placement has been an impressive 100% for those staying within the entertainment industry. 

About the Program
The one-year program offers access to entry-level positions within television production management for individuals from diverse backgrounds. Candidates work closely with ABC Studios personnel and executives who mentor the associates and take a personal interest in their progress. The ultimate goal is to help prepare promising individuals for future career advancement within the television industry.

Associates, many of whom are recent college graduates, have been hired in such varied positions as: Set Painter with Local 729; Western Costume Local 705 member; Staff Coordinator with ABC Studios; Editor, ABC Broadcast Standards and Practices; Credits Administration Manager, ABC Studios; and 2nd Accountant, Desperate Housewives.

Requirements
Candidates must be motivated and well-organized self-starters − able to prioritize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Other requirements include: familiarity with common computer software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, FileMaker Pro); access to his/her own transportation with insurance and a good driving record; a strong career interest in the television industry; and solid interpersonal and communication skills. College graduates with good academic records are preferred. Applicants must be able to legally work in the United States.
